| I have for some time now been collecting and organising genealogical
information about my own family. Most of the information comes originally from my father
and other older relatives. I have also come into contact with other relatives who share my
interest in genealogy and through them got more information about the family. Some of them
I have met and with others I communicate through regular mail or e-mail.
The chart below covers the first six generations. The data is very incomplete. In the
sixth generation in the chart I know that the two brothers Carl August Ferdinand and
Friedrich August Enderlein, my greatgrandfather, emigrated from Sachsen in Germany to
Sweden in the second half of the nineteenth century.
Now I want to learn more about these generations, where in Germany were they born,
where did they live, what other relatives did they have?

I have been to Germany and visited the parishes in Oelsa, Schmiedeberg
and Rabenau and others to search the church records and there I found some additional information
about my ancestors. But I also found several other Enderlein families living there at the
same time as my ancestors. I am sure that these families are all related to each other but
I don't know how (yet). If someone knows anything and can add some information to the
above data I would be very pleased. I have already got much valuable information from Uli
Thränhardt in Berlin for which I am very thankful.
Elke Kraemer who studies medicin history at the university of
Frankfurt am Main has supplied information about the ancestors of
professor Günther Enderlein. I am very thankful to her.
